Community Policing Unit

All officers are tCourtesy Professionalism Respectrained in Community Policing, whether it be through basic police academy classes or tailored specific for in depth community issues facing our diverse populace. Our department selects several officers who are dedicated to the civic issues of the borough. The officers conduct seminars and project events bringing awareness to the public. The Community Policing Officers look forward to questions with the hope of bringing safety awareness to our residents.

Programs

Presently we have walk safe seminars "Be Seen, Be Safe" where we educate the public on pedestrian and driver safety. We have seminars for our senior citizens who are targets of identity theft and flim/flam scams. For our High School Seniors we have a DWI program,  which gives the high school seniors devices that simulate driving under the influence. We specialize in crime prevention. The officers can give safety evaluation of your business or residences.

Child Safety Seat Program Police Dog Sitting at a Computer Desk

The department also provides a "Child Safety Seat Program." We provide the residents of Fort Lee the opportunity to learn the proper installation of the child seat. Call us at 201-592-3525 to schedule a class or seminar.
