Communications Division

The main function of the Communications Division is to receive calls for assistance from the public and then dispatch the appropriate emergency service.  This includes answering 9-1-1 Emergency calls and coordinating responses between the Fort Lee Police Department, Fort Lee Volunteer Fire Department, Fort Lee Volunteer Ambulance Corps, Fort Lee Office of Emergency Management, Fort Lee Fire Prevention and many other agencies.

Records Bureau

It is the responsibility or the Records Bureau to classify reports, maintain an information database, submit reports to State and Federal Agencies, answer requests for discovery, process firearm and other applications as well as other administrative functions.

Training Bureau

The main function of the Training Bureau is to improve their professional skills of officers by coordinating  training at with county, state and federal agencies. The department has numerous certified Emergency Medical Technicians, Alcotest operators, and firearms instructors, etc.
